Untangling your thoughts
Children & Young People

Children/young people
Do you feel that you are not being heard and would like to be listened to and valued?
Perhaps you do not feel accepted by your family and peers or feel unable to trust your own feelings and judgement.
Maybe you would like to be able to identify and establish boundaries with others and feel that you have a say in your life and what you would like to do and be.

Parents
Parents, do you feel that your child is not sharing their feelings and would like them to feel comfortable in expressing their thoughts?
Are you worried that your child is isolated and feeling unhappy rather then fully engaging in their life?
Would you like tour child to feel that they have healthy coping strategies to enable them to deal with life challenges?
How I can help
I’m a qualified counsellor (Level 5 Counselling Children & Young People Diploma). I work with children, young people and adults (aged 10 and upwards), and alongside my private practice, I am also one of the staff counsellors at Youth Concern, Aylesbury, where I have worked for a few years supporting children and young people (13–25 years; enhanced DBS checked).
My experience so far has led me to work with clients covering a wide range of presentations including depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, abuse, bereavement, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicide ideation, mental health issues, neurodiversity (ADHD and ASD) and also, the challenges of growing up or just being within the technological world and the complications brought up by social media.
